I've been trying to figure out the shutter priority mode on my camera. I can't quite get it, my pics are either totally blow out or way too dark. I'm not sure if it's the lighting I'm in when I use it. Maybe I'm just not doing it right when I adjust the shutter speed. Any help would be appreciated. In the meantime here's a few pics I took with shutter priority, adjusting the ISO in each one. Sorry I don't remember what my settings were for each pic!

Have you tried playing with the Exposure Compensation when in Shutter Priority mode? I learned that little trick from Pioneer Woman! Check the Photography section of her site for the post about Exposure Compensation and play around with it. If your photo is too dark, you can dial up the exposure a bit to try to even it out and likewise if it's too blown out at first. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteThanks sooo much sarah! Now just to figure out how to do all that on my camera. lol
ReplyDeleteIt's the little button with a + and - symbol on it, right near the mode selector dial, behind the shutter button. Seriously, PW does a much better job of explaining this than I do!
ReplyDeleteI went and read the PW and dug through my cameras manual! I was totally doing it ALL wrong, I think I've got it figured out now! More pics to come soon!
