Pumpkin Carving!

We carved Pumpkins with the kids tonight.  Approx. 30 min after we got them all lit up on the front porch a Ford Escape with a couple kids pulled up in front of the house just as Bob walked into the living room.  They sat there for about 10 minutes, turned their dome light on and then left.  I'm not sure they were planning to take my pumpkins BUT I'm suspicious enough to set them down where they won't be visible from the street tonight!  It's entirely possible they were cruising down Main street and needed to stop to look for something in the car.
Here's some pics:

Ribbon Techniques

I've seen lots of different ribbon techniques lately, including this where the ribbon is sorta bunched up.  Next I think I will try stapling my ribbon.  What unique ribbon ideas have you tried?

LOTSA Ribbon

I used a Pagemaps sketch for this one!  I really like how it came out:

Pumpkin Patch

I took my kids to the pumpkin patch last weekend and had a GREAT time, although next time we'll definitely wait until AFTER nap time!  I've been playing with the collages on Picnik and I LOVE them.  So many of the scrapbook mags that I have show pics of layouts with collages in the center.  I may upload these collages to shutterfly and then print them out as 8x8 scrapbook pages to use on my 12x12 paper scrapbook.  Here's what I've got:

Boys Layout

Here's another layout made using another CTMH kit ;)  Sorry I forget the name of it at the moment!  I love this kit b/c it's great for making boy pages, which any scrapbooker with boys can relate to the challenge of!

Topstitch

I made these layouts using Topstitch from CTMH.  I know I've said it before, BUT I LOVE THEIR KITS!!! It makes it sooo easy to coordinate papers and whip out a page in just a few minutes!

SNOWFLAKES

Here are a couple of my recent Christmas cards!  I've really been spending lots of time creating cards and layouts but I'm such a slacker when it comes to getting pics of them so I can blog about them!!!  I don't know why since I had so much fun playing with my camera to get these pics, I took them in manual mode, shutter speed 1/8 f5 and NO flash.

Needing A Change

My husband has to take care of the kids 3 nights a week while I work, he spoils them rotten.  He gives them both baths some nights.  He rocks them to sleep b/c he loves cuddling with them, having them both fall asleep in his arms at the same time is one of his favorite accomplishments.  He makes them supper each of these night, even if it is just ham and cheese sandwiches, he gets them up the following morning, dresses them, and drives them to daycare.  He texts me silly, cute, adorable pics of them.  He rarely calls me at work for anything, BUT LAST NIGHT....

All hell broke loose while I was at work!  Ryan's been trying to pop out some molars and has a horrible cough, he coughs so hard that he vomited twice last night.  He tosses and turns in his sleep and screams in pain in his sleep.  (I've been giving him tylenol and teething tabs)  Last night when Daddy got him all settled in and he seemed like he would sleep well he layed him in the crib and went to bed at 12:30AM, then at that moment Marissa woke up screaming because her ear hurt:(  This is the time I got a call saying, "if I ever wanted you to come home early this is the time, unfortunately I couldn't leave.  I came home at 3:30AM and could hear my poor girl crying.  I picked her up gave her some Motrin since the Tylenol she'd had didn't quite kick it and layed on the couch with her and let her watch cartoons.  Her and I slept there till 8 when I got her up and dressed and ready to head out the door to daycare so I could sleep.

I couldn't help but think ALL night long about finding a way to be able to stay at home and not work.  My job provides 2/3 of our income, so it wouldn't be easy.  I've been considering doing daycare, but I'm just not sure I could handle it everyday.  I am really hoping Close to My Heart has a consultant bonus REALLY soon!  I don't expect to earn enough with it to quit my job, but I am determined to try, so maybe I could cut back to just 2 nights a week at least!

I have made a LOT of layouts and cards for the upcoming craft fair in town and have purchased my booth.  I'm really hoping that this takes off and I can get a few people to place orders and maybe even start a scrap for hire business.  Here is a pile of stuff I have done with more posts coming up to better detail each item:

I'm a slacker ;)

I've not posted in a few days b/c I've been too busy working and driving around in my new car:)  I'm waiting for a CTMH sign up bonus to come up before I become a consultant.  I'm not a very patient person, so I'm getting really anxious to get started with this.  I've got lots of ideas to help my business.  And just cause I don't like to post anything not accompanied by a picture:

Who says this isn't a family car ;)

Using My SIZZIX

If you read my sizzix post last week you know I was over joyed to get my sizzix texture boutique.  I made my mom and good friend drool over it the other night at my scrapbook get together!  This simple card is made using 2 different folders.  The first one is a Sizzix card folder, that's the one you see in the background.  Then I used the little Sizzix flower one and made the small square, mounted it on some brown and glued it down.  Simple, Easy, and Cute! Even my husband thinks the Sizzix is really cool!

Christmas Cards!

I have a wonderful group of friends that gets together every week or 2 to scrapbook together and this week I hosted our little party at my house.  Scrapbooking and Sangria, what a great time:)  I made these Christmas cards!  I used sketches found at Page Maps for inspiration.  I am in LOVE with that website!  I printed out every pdf card map in the archives and stuck it in a sheet protector then in a 3 ring binder.  I printed out every Scrapbook layout sketch for 2010 also:)  If you haven't ever visited page maps, you NEED to check it out!!!  Here's my cards:

Here's my monster layouts!  I based my first layout off the workshop guide that came with the kit although I like to change it up to suit my style/craft ability/current supplies!

MONTSTERS!

I am not usually a big stamper when it comes to scrapbooking.  I prefer to only use stamps for sentiments on cards.  HOWEVER this month I ordered the Hooligans Kit from CTMH and fell in love with the monster stamps!  Just look how cute these guys are, they make me want to stamp all night long!

Check in tomorrow to see the layout I added these cute little monsters too!

Flippity Floppity

Here's another of my pre-made layouts!  Page #2 can be flipped any direction, I think I prefer it the best with the purple strip on the left

I was so very excited to take my new camera to the zoo last week!  I knew there would be GREAT photo opportunities there! Here's some of what I shot:
